Contractors and recruitment agents seldom get on well.
This is because the agents are up to every trick in the book to try to get as much of the money as they can, of what a contractor earns, for themselves.
They are prepared to stoop as low as they have to go to achieve this.
They operate a system of spamming references from contractors. i.e. they ask contractors for references from all the places they have worked, saying hat they have a possible contract for the contractor and the client needs these refeences before seeing him or her.
Normally there is no contract at all.
All the agency want to know is the name of companies that take on contractors and who, in the department, is the person who takes them on.
They want that info to send other CVs of other contractors there.
It’s pretty sneaky but they all do it.[caption id="attachment_545" align="alignnone" width="660"] Contract Job Agencies[/caption]
